Hi Everyone!
I'm excited to announce that Rescue Bear Operation is now in the final stages of being approved for Steam Early Access! If you're not familiar with Valve's Digital Distribution Steam Store; I encourage you to go check it out at http://store.steampowered.com/
For those Game Developers, Indie & otherwise, who are familiar with the process of submitting games up on Steam for Steam Early Access; this week we should find out if we're approved for both the 1) Store Presence, & 2) Game Build. It's been a very long road getting here; as there seem to be a few hundred steps when one is shipping a game, building out the store presence & requirements. The step I didn't anticipate being so nitty gritty ended up being the downloadable content (DLC). Turns out each piece of DLC has to be individually created in terms of things like: descriptions, pricing, multiple pieces of artwork, screenshots, & so forth. It seems obvious now; but when planning to take on something like this - definitely plan ahead for the extra amount of time for addressing each piece of DLC.
It's all great though! Very exciting milestone reached! I'll keep you all posted on how it goes!
Best
Matt
